The Pier to Nowhere

I had to laugh; Tri was upset, livid almost. Me? I just saw what I have seen humans do my whole life. Someone who even have a history of doing this type of thing. The laughter in me was like that after a good April Fools day joke, I fell for it. Congrats to that. But that is the gem of online relationships, and at times I can be a hopeless romantic and want to trust, want to believe. Alas.

Ego; it has a very nasty way of corrupting the mind and the soul of man. One or the other is bad enough but when both are hit the results are staggering. Something not going your way – wah – pull the plug! Something growing too big to handle??? Don’t reach out to friends – sell-out to a ‘conscious’ capitalist.

Mothers give birth and try to desperately hold onto that child through its life, creating a strangling death grip on the throat of creativity and growth. Insanity brews of malcontent. Perhaps a manic depressive plunge into the ocean of despair; a momentary break of the non-dual…that is all it takes to lose not only control but more importantly – respect.  Most times, even with the best of guidance, the child doesn’t grow up the way mommy had envisioned for that baby. Sometimes that baby grows up and realizes that there is kaka filling its diapers and makes a choice - then throws it back at mom. But isn’t that all part of the checks and balances we need to keep us awake? Is that not the core of debate and vibrant discussion? We can not be above the debate, not everyone is going to agree with you every step of your life. Should you find those that do? Beware the ides of March my friend…

Projection is an interesting phenomenon… accusing others of doing what you are doing yourself. Let us take the example of blogging off site, shall we? Hun?

“Pot? This is Kettle…we need to talk.”

Just because you have a living room full of chosen family doesn’t mean that some are not going to have friends on the other side of the backyard fence. It is human nature after all. We all have friends of different ilk’s and business acquaintances and arrangements that must be upheld to bring those stupid little green credits rolling in. Leaders full of corruption, contempt and power have used projection as an effective tool for years. Just watch a few political ads for examples, they are everywhere these days. Best of all we have Condi telling Russia that it is not right to invade a sovereign nation and depose its government, and don’t they dare think of staying for any length of time! “Kettle? Is that you?”

As it is often the case when walking on piers; the walk is short and often ends in a drowning. I guess for now my blogging is back to being housed on solid ground. Too bad?-Perhaps?

Without projection, how would we know what our problem with everyone else is?

Projection is one way; to every negative there is a positive = it is that whole yin/yang thing…
However, perhaps a less clouded by personal ego way is possible. Being the observer has its advantages. The ability to step outside oneself and take a 'cold, hard, honest look' at not only oneself but ones situation, conversations, surroundings, debates, sermon, war, thought patterns… needs to be the daily practice of all striving to evolve.

or are you just telling me you see me as a problem??? ;-)
