Proof in the Pudding

Posted on Nov 1st, 2006 by Ramblin'H2O : Interaction Visionary Ramblin'H2O

Just this week I made 'Shark Infested Pudding' (both chocolate and butterscotch if that is important to you). It all started from a conversation about common phrases that make no logical sense if you change them even slightly. For our Halloween party I made "shark infested Jell-O". Gummy Sharks show up better in Jell-O then they do in pudding  afterall.  I did this just to see what others would do when they saw it on the table…NO ONE ATE IT... Why? Are they afraid of the sharks? Most likely not – no one is truly afraid of gummy sharks.  Jell-O traumas from earlier childhood? I know I have issues with stuff floating in Jell-O --- thanks mom! Perhaps they just could not 'wrap their minds around’ it. Something so strange, different, sick, do I dare say crazy. Then what were they expecting from me anyway, after all these people do think they know me…

Did it open someone’s secluded brain cells a bit? I can only hope so. This is a long way to say we influence people one at a time; one step at a time. Do I want to change the world? Sure who doesn’t! That is one of the reasons we joined Zaadz to begin with. But…I lost my magic wand in a swimming accident, and find I no longer can do it all at once – oh… - or was that arrogance… Anyway; we work, we feed our families, we do our voodoo; life; practice; etc … We type in our blogs hoping someone might read them, be changed and awe inspired by them. But when you start to care about if anyone is reading your blog or not; is changing the world or not; is practicing spiritually the way you think they ‘should’ or not; you have already strayed from the Tao, enlightenment, one mindedness, etc…

It always comes back to you, what are you doing, what example are you leaving the world?  “Do as I say not at I do” the immortal words of many a human. We learn from examples! Not just in childhood but as adults, what others have done before both to and for us is how we give back to others anew.  Words, deeds, Qi, all can be controlled and given the most positive of spines. At times it needs to be a sharp slap, at times a gentle push, or a guiding hand and a grin.  You have to judge what will be the most effective; this requires discernment, educated background, foresight, and cognitive thought.  The ones whom you are meant to touch and help on their personal path of change, growth and evolution will be there, they will respond - maybe just a little or maybe they will take great leaps forward, and others will respond to them. That is how the Sharks infest the pudding and change the world, one bit at a time.

Gimme some o dat old-tyme infestation!!! Madness, mayhem, bloggage and our kickass party where all the humans were afraid of the shark-infested jello… my work here is done. (At least for the moment.) I have been thinking long and hard about this whole mentoring/guiding/slapping/tickling process and while I know I signed up for this ride a very long time ago (sure feels like it- no rest for the Wicked & the Wicked are getting weary this week), it certainly helps a great deal to have your lovely presence & quick wit in my life to help me catalyze myself and others… thanks for the Qi!
