About Me:
Basically, I work within the realm of Chinese Medicine. One person at a time, 15 to 25 people a week in my office- www.asianhealingarts.com
I spend my days opening minds and nudging clients (not patients - I work only with those who wish to play along) into their next stage of evolution.
I work on a non profit board www.aobta.org for the membership of The American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia.
I have served on the National Board of Directors for over 7 years. This fall I became Prezzy for the organization. This has given me the opportunity to work with many colleagues in the Asian Medical field and allowed me the opportunity to study with some of the best teachers of Chinese Medicine. For that, I will be forever grateful. I have been able to travel to many conferences and meetings. I have greatly enjoyed my chances to meet with, eat with, drink with, and pick the brains of many colleagues during this time. Service has also led me on an opportunity to study and travel through China, a Tuina practitioner's dream come true. Like all trips of that magnitude, it brought about life altering personal understandings and evolution.
For all practical purposes I am a Theory Nerd. TCM, 5Element, Spiral Dynamics, Chaos, String, Integral, etc…. How things work and overlap, translate from one to another, it fascinates me.
I enjoy discussions on a wide range of topics. My favorite involve those my parents told me never to discuss with strangers; namely philosophy and religion… I always found that rule strange, as these two topics seemed to me to be the only things worth talking about with strangers, as well as those beings I know and love.
I am also working with a group of bassoonists to help keep a great thing going, so that the camp I grew up attending will continue to influence generations to come.
My family; our dogs; both rescues, one is a Newfoundland (Snuffy) and the other is a Samoyed (Bizkit), they give so much love and support. This gift allows me to also spend much of my free time in my greenhouse tending to the wellbeing of over 300 Orchids (mostly Species).
Life is serious business - but one needs to have a bit of fun along the way. Give them enough, but keep 'em guessing.
